Full-Scale Carrot Line Replacement Delivered to Market Leader.
We are proud to announce that in July 2024, Swan Engineering successfully completed a full removal and replacement of the carrot grading and boxing line at one of Scotland’s largest vegetable processors.
A leading UK grower and processor entrusted us to replace their aging equipment with a state-of-the-art system custom-designed to enhance efficiency, reliability, and operational control.
Scope of Work
Removal of existing infrastructure: safely dismantled and cleared the old grading lines
Installation of 3 Newtec Celox graders with precision grading capability
Over 50 bespoke conveyors: optimised for gentle handling and throughput efficiency
6 even‑flow hoppers: enabling controlled, consistent product feed
3 box fillers, 1 with bag filling capabilities: supporting flexible packaging options
Heavy duty support frames, operational walkways, gantries, and staircases for safe operator access and maintenance
System integration: modified existing flumes and tied-in with pre-existing infrastructure
The entire decommissioning and install was completed within a tight deadline of one month, delivered on time and on budget. Preparation included meticulous staging and pre‑assembly of all installation components to ensure a flawless execution .
