Legacy Equipment, Future-Facing: Refurbished Grader Powers On-Farm Expansion
We recently completed a project that demonstrates the value of practical innovation, engineering know-how, and sustainable thinking.
Working closely with two clients, we facilitated the transfer of a redundant grading line that was no longer in service. Rather than let the equipment go to waste, we saw the opportunity to give it a second life.
Our team took responsibility for sourcing, refurbishing, and adapting the line to suit its new home on a farm aiming to bring grading operations in-house for the first time. The transformation required extensive re-engineering and custom fabrication work to accommodate a different footprint, layout, and workflow.
On the electrical side, we reconfigured the controls and power systems to integrate seamlessly with the farm’s setup, ensuring smooth and safe operation tailored to the revised process. All structural and mechanical components were also modified to suit the new product flow and site requirements.
The result is a high-performance, cost-effective grading solution—delivered in a fraction of the time and budget of a brand-new system. For the farm, it marks a major step forward in their expansion and independence. For the original owner, it was a sustainable and value-driven way to repurpose machinery.
This project is a great example of what’s possible when knowledge, collaboration, and adaptability come together. Whether you’re expanding, upgrading, or looking to extract more life from existing assets, we’re always open to finding smart, sustainable solutions.
