They don’t build them like they used to! That’s why we just bought a 40 year old vertical borer to expand our machining capabilities. This can turn diameters upto 2100mm dia x 400mm high and can hold tolerance down to a thou on that size. Adding to our conventional turning capacity of 1200mm x 4m long there’s not a lot of jobs we have to turn away now.
